Traffic Incident at 7400 Long Point
July 8, 2006 -- Charges are
pending against a suspect arrested in a fatal traffic accident
at 7400 Long Point about 9:30 p.m. on Friday (July 7).
The identity of the victim is pending verification
by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

D.S. Runyan and Officer S. Martinez reported:
A 17-year-old driver, traveling east on Long
Point, was apparently involved in a road rage incident with the
driver of a Pontiac Grand Am. As the two vehicles competed for
the roadway, the suspect's vehicle struck a pedestrian who was
pronounced dead shortly after arriving at Ben Taub General Hospital.
The 17-year-old was possibly under the influence of drugs at the
time of the accident. A mandatory blood sample was taken at an
area hospital. The driver of the Pontiac fled the scene.
