Traffic Incident at 5600 North Freeway

July 3, 2006 -- The Houston Police Department, Mobility Incident Management Division, is investigating an auto-pedestrian accident resulting in the death of an
unidentified female that occurred at 5600 North Freeway at 10:57 p.m. on July
3, 2006.

Accident investigation Officer J. A. Vega and Lieutenant L. A. Martinez report:

On July 3, 2006, at approximately 10:57 p.m., an unidentified female was walking eastbound across the 5600 block of the North Freeway. The female was struck by a commercial vehicle in the northbound lanes and killed. The victim's identity and cause of death will be determined by the Harris County Medical Examiner.

This accident will remain under investigation by the Mobility Incident Management Division and the Truck Enforcement Unit of the Traffic Division.
