Traffic Incident at 13200 South Freeway

January 30, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 13200 block of the South Freeway about 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2006.

The male's identity is unknown at this time. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant H. M. Garcia and Officers R. S. Kessler and R. D. Davidson reported:

According to a witness, the pedestrian was walking across the freeway when he was struck by a Ford pick-up truck traveling southbound in the inner lane of the South Freeway. The driver of the truck immediately pulled over and called emergency services.

The investigation is continuing.
