HPD Hosts Foreign Journalists
February 21, 2006 -- On
Thursday, February 16, 2006, the Houston Police Department hosted
an international delegation of print journalists and editors from
the countries of Nigeria, Pakistan, and Singapore. The journalists
are traveling to various cities in the United States as guests
of the United States Department of State is to examine the standards,
practices, and institutions of print journalism
in America.
The journalists visited the Houston Police Department's
Media Relations Unit to discuss relations between reporters and
local law enforcement in the United States. They were also greeted
by Houston Police Chief Harold Hurtt.
