Incident at 5700 Tam-O-

February 21, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating a double shooting that left one person dead and another seriously wounded in the 5700 block of Tam-O-Shanter on Monday, February 20, 2006 at about 8:40 p.m.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.H. Roberts and Officer B.W. Nabors reported that three vehicles met at a dead-end street on Tan-O-Shanter just north of Prestwood when gunfire broke out. An unknown black male was shot in the back and died at the scene. A second victim, 20-year-old Wayne Lyons of 4734 Creek Point Lane, was also shot in the back and several times in the legs. He was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital and is expected to survive from his injuries.

Witnesses reported seeing four to five male suspects fleeing the scene in a white car.
