Incident at 14250 Kimberly

February 6, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 14250 Kimberly about 5:40 p.m. on Sunday (Feb. 5).

The identity of the victim has not been released pending notification to family members.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M.D. Newcomb and Officer T. Huynh reported:

Witnesses said the victim was being chased by two black males in the Kensington Court Apartment complex when he was shot three times and collapsed in front of apartment #349. At this time, it is unknown why the victim was at the apartment complex.

The shooter is described as a dark complected black male, 19 to 24 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 140 to 160 pounds. The suspect was wearing a black do-rag on his head, a white shirt with a black shirt underneath it, and blue jeans. The second suspect is described as a black male, 18 to 20 years old, and 5 feet 7 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a red and white jersey with numbering on it, and blue jeans.

Investigators believe both suspects might live in close proximity to the apartment complex. Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
