Incident at 7614 1/2 Avenue E

December 26, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7614 ½ Avenue E about 2 p.m. Monday (December 25).

The victim, Jose Gonzales Jr., 42, of 7614 ½ Avenue E, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and died at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant E. Gonzalez and Officer J. Sosa reported:

Family member arrived to visit Mr. Gonzales at his residence and when they entered his house they found Gonzales deceased. Mr. Gonzales lived alone.
