Update on Incident at 8955 Brandon

December 25, 2006 -- Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a woman at 8955 Brandon about 9:45 p.m. on Saturday (December 23).

The suspect, Launzer Stephens (b/m, DOB 7/20/44), is charged with murder in the 208th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Wendy E. Terrell, 42, of 2111 Holly Hall. Mrs. Hall suffered multiple stab wounds and died at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Huynh and Officers K. Carr and D. Hayes reported:

HPD officers responded to a stabbing call at 8955 Brandon and found the victim lying on the front steps of the residence. The suspect, Stephens, was initially transported to Ben Taub General Hospital with unknown injuries.
