Update on Incident at 11900 Bellaire
December 21, 2006 --Charges
have been filed against a suspect wanted in the murder of a man
at 11900 Bellaire, Suite D on December 13, 2006 at 8:55 p.m.
The suspect, Happy
Tran Pham (A/m, DOB 1/12/85), is charged with murder in the
184th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Peirre
J. Mai, 29, who sustained a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead
at Ben Taub General Hospital.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.T. Wyers and
Officer B. W. Nabors reported:
Mr. Mai was dining at the Cajun Kitchen restaurant
with friends when Pham entered the restaurant, pulled out a weapon
and shot him. As Pham fled, an employee retrieved a pistol kept
inside the business and followed him. Pham pointed his weapon
at the employee, who then shot at Pham numerous times as he fled
on foot.
