2nd Update on Incident at 10110 Forum Park

December 21, 2006 -- Houston police homicide investigators are asking for the public's help in locating a suspect wanted and charged in the fatal shooting of a man at 10110 Forum Park about 1:50 p.m. on December 11.

The suspect, Keaaron Reed (b/m, DOB 3/15/89), is charged with murder in the 182nd State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Frederick Jasper Porter, 22, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Porter was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W.J. Anthony and Officer D.W. Arnold reported:

Witnesses reported seeing a group of black males fighting in the parking lot of the apartment complex. Suspect Reed pulled a handgun and shot Mr. Porter once as he stood next to his vehicle, and then several more times as Porter sat inside of that vehicle. Reed and the other males fled on foot and possibly in a maroon or burgundy Ford Thunderbird or Taurus with a Texas license plate beginning with 511.
