Incident at 6600 Hirsch

December 19, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the apparent fatal shooting of a man found in the 6600 block of Hirsch about 6 a.m. on Tuesday (Dec. 18).

The name of the elderly victim is being withheld pending notification to family members.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C.T. Mosqueda and Officer L. Benavidez reported:

The victim was found in his vehicle with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to his left side. It*s believed the victim was approached by an unknown suspect(s) while waiting for a train to pass.

There is no known motive or suspect in this case.
