Incident at 1500 Keene

August 29, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the death of a man found at 1500 Keene about 10:15 a.m. on Monday (August 28).

The victim, whose identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office, had ligature markings on his neck.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.H. Binford and Officer R.A. Swainson reported:

HPD officers were called to the above location after a crew of workmen found the victim lying in a vacant lot. The body, which appeared to have been at the location for several weeks, was covered with plastic sheeting and an old blanket.
