Incident at 10800 Kipp Way
April 29, 2006 -- Houston police
are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman at 10800 Kipp
Way about 5 a.m. on Friday (Apr. 28).
The victim is identified as Kaila L. Kromah,
20, of 8811 Boone Rd. She sustained multiple gunshot wounds to
the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Officers R. Moreno and
R. Martinez reported:
Two black male suspects approached Ms. Kromah
and her male acquaintance and began a conversation at the gas
station at Wilcrest and Bissonnet. After several minutes, one
suspect walked away and the other suspect requested a ride to
10800 Kipp Way. Kromah gave the suspect a ride and after arriving
on Kipp Way, the other suspect from the gas station approached
the victim's vehicle, demanded money and pulled a gun. The male
acquaintance was able to flee on foot, however Kromah was shot
and killed inside of her vehicle. The fleeing suspects took Kromah's
purse.
The suspects are only described as black males,
5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 125 pounds. Both
suspects had short black hair, wore dark pants with white shirts
and were of a medium to dark complexion.
