Incident at 9555 Crofton

April 5, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman at 9555 Crofton Street on April 4, 2006 about 9 p.m.

The victim is identified as Tracey Ann Howard, 42, of 9555 Crofton. She sustained gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.T. Wyers and Officer T. Tyler reported:

Ms. Howard was found deceased in the parking lot. It appears that she was a victim of a drive-by shooting which could possibly be gang related. Ms. Howard was in the process of moving out of her apartment.
