Incident at 6529 Grapevine

September 30, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the death of a person found at 6529 Grapevine about 6:45 a.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2005.

The victim's identity, gender and cause of death are pending an autopsy by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

H.P.D. Homicide Division Officers P.J. Guerrero and J. Selvera reported:

HFD firefighters and HPD officers responded to a call regarding a vehicle on fire at the back of a residence. After the fire was extinguished, the victim's body was found in the trunk of the burned vehicle.

The investigation is continuing.
