Update on Incident at 900 West Greens

September 30, 2005 -- Houston police have learned the identity of a female found dead at 900 West Greens about 6:20 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2005.

The female has been identified as Shaming McWashington, 23, of 301 Benmar. The cause of death is pending an autopsy by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant L. J. Baimbridge and Officer N. T. Ruland reported:

The decomposed remains of a female were discovered in a wooded area near the end of West Greens. The victim was wearing blue pants and a green T-shirt. It appears her body was placed in this area.
