Incident at 6401 Loma Vista

September 13, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and wounding of another at 6401 Loma Vista about 9 p.m. on Monday (Sept. 12).

The identities of the victims are pending notification to the next of kin and autopsies by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office. Both were transported to Ben Taub General Hospital with gunshot wounds. One victim was pronounced dead at Ben Taub and the other underwent surgery and is in an unknown condition.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant G. Gonzales and Officer M.S. Walker reported:

Four or five armed suspects entered the victims' residence and shot both men. Witnesses reported seeing the suspects leaving the scene driving a mid-to-late 90s model, white Dodge Stratus with shiny hubcaps and black tinted windows.
