Traffic Incident at 4400 East Freeway

September 4, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident involving a pedestrian at 4400 East Freeway on Saturday, September 3, 2005 about 11 p.m.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant D.S. Runyan and Officer T.D. Houston reported:

A male in his late twenties attempted to cross the freeway on foot when a late model Chevrolet Impala struck him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No charges are expected.
