Incident at 7324 Southwest Freeway

October 23, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the death of a male at 7324 Southwest Freeway today (October 23), about 2:52 a.m.

The victim is identified as Byron Blake Maithra, 28, of 1406 Sweet Grass Lane. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Office I.F. Flores and Officer R.W. Chappell reported:

Maithra was found lying on the ground after he apparently jumped from the top floor of the parking garage. His vehicle was located on the roof of the garage. There were no witnesses.
