Traffic Incident at 6300 Cullen

October 12, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 6300 Cullen today (Oct. 12) about 1 a.m.

The identity of the male victim, 34, is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant R.R. Schweiker and Officer M. Wick reported:

The driver of a vehicle was traveling southbound on Cullen at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle and collided with a tree in the center median. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no passengers in the vehicle.

The investigation is continuing.
