Incident at 8706 Cockburn
October 11, 2005 -- Houston
police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8706 Cockburn
about 1:20 a.m. today (Oct. 11).
The male victim's identity is pending notification
to next of kin by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.
He was transported to Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital where he was
pronounced dead.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Binford and
Officer R. Swainson reported:
The victim and his girlfriend drove to 8706 Cockburn
to meet an acquaintance of the victim. The victim went inside
the residence while the girlfriend waited outside in the car.
A short time later, the victim and three unknown black males walked
outside. One of the males, described as having a slim build and
in his early 20s, shot the victim in the head and abdomen, and
then all three fled on foot.
