Incident at 7900 Manchester
October 3, 2005 -- Houston police
are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7900 Manchester
about 2:40 a.m. on Sunday (Oct. 2).
The name of the victim has not been released
pending notification to his family members. He suffered a gunshot
wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C.E. Elliott and
Officer J. Sosa reported:
The victim and a witness went to a bar in the
8200 block of La Porte Road. After leaving the bar, the two walked
past the intersection of Broadway and Lawndale and continued walking
in the 7900 block of Manchester at Medina. At that time, someone
in a pickup truck traveling east on Manchester fired multiple
shots at the victim and witness. The suspect(s) then fled.
