Incident at 1018 Reondo

October 2, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 1018 Redondo on October 1, 2005 about 11:45 p.m.

The deceased victim is identified as Jose Luis Jasso, 49, of 1018 Redondo. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim was transported by ambulance to Ben Taub General Hospital in stable conditions.

HPD Homicide Division Officers P. Yochum and R. Chappell reported:

The surviving victim stated that two unknown males approached him and Jasso to ask them for a ride. He stated that a struggle ensued and one of the suspects pulled out a firearm and shot at them.
