Incident at 518 Broadway
November 20, 2005 -- Houston
police are investigating the death of a man and the wounding of
another male during the course of an aggravated robbery at 518
Broadway about 5:20 p. m. on Saturday (Nov. 19).
The deceased victim is identified as Francisco
Luis, 55, of 717 Nell in Pasadena. Luis suffered a gunshot wound
and was pronounced dead at the scene. The wounded victim was transported
to Memorial Hermann Hospital in an unknown condition.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M.D. Newcomb and
Officer A. Mares reported:
Two unknown Hispanic male suspects entered Gordon's
Men Store at 518 Broadway and proceeded to rob the business at
gunpoint. One suspect shot the store clerk in the chest and also
opened fire on Francisco Luis who was a customer of the business.
After the shootings, the two suspects fled on foot to a waiting
vehicle being driven by a third unknown Hispanic male suspect.
Suspect #1 is described as a Hispanic male in
his early 20s. He was approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall with
a medium complexion and a skinny build. He had collar length hair
and dressed in black jeans and a black hooded jacket.
Suspect #2 is described as a Hispanic male in
his early 20s. He was approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall with
a dark complexion and a thin build. He wore black jeans and a
black jacket. He wore distinctive Khaki colored Polo boots.
Suspect #3 is described only as a Hispanic male.
The suspects' vehicle is described as a late
model four-door gray vehicle with tinted windows.
