Suspect Arrested in Sexual Assaults of Juveniles
November 17, 2005 -- Investigators
in the Houston Police Juvenile Division believe a suspect arrested
for sexual assaults on two juveniles might have committed other
similar crimes.
The suspect, identified as Johnny
Lee Wright (b/m, DOB 10-16-79), was arrested Wednesday (Nov.
16) at his home at 7819 Corinth. He has been charged with one
count of aggravated sexual assault of a child and one count of
sexual assault of a child in the 337th State District Court. He
also faces a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance
with intent to deliver.
Investigators are asking any other individuals
victimized by Wright to contact them at 713-731-5335.
Officer H.A. Whillock of the HPD Juvenile Division
Sex Crimes Unit reported:
Wright worked as a contract janitor at Attucks
Middle School. Two female students at the school, one 13 years
old and the other 14 years of age, told investigators they met
Wright at the school in October and were lured to his residence
on separate occasions where the sexual assaults took place.
It is believed the suspect committed other assaults
against juvenile females who have not come forward to report the
incidents. Investigators urge those victims to report the incidents
to the Juvenile Sex Crimes Unit.
