Incident at 5801 Hollister

November 14, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5801 Hollister about 11:35 a.m. on Sunday (Nov. 13).

The identity of the victim, 28, has not been released pending notification to his family members.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W.P. Booth and Officer J.C. Bonaby reported:

The victim was found at the base of the stairs to apartment #1716. Witnesses reported a loud disturbance and then numerous gunshots at that apartment. They also said four to six Hispanic and black males ran through the apartment complex as the shots were being fired. The suspects fled in multiple vehicles. They included a blue Chevrolet or GMC truck, a pearl colored Mitsubishi Galant, a newer model gold Chevrolet Malibu and a gold Durango.
