Incident at 6800 S. Gessner
May 27, 2005 -- Houston police
are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6800 S. Gessner
about 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2005.
The male victim's identity is pending identification
by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office. The victim was
transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced
dead.
HPD Homicide Division Officer G. Gonzales and
M. Walker reported:
Witnesses stated a group of young Hispanic males
were involved in a verbal altercation. One of the males produced
a gun and fired one time striking the victim. It is unknown at
this time if the victim was involved in the original dispute.
The investigation is ongoing and there are no
known suspects identified.
