Traffic Incident at Kingwood Drive at Trail River

May 24, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident on Kingwood Drive at Trail River on Monday (May 23) about 4:10 p. m.

The deceased victim has been identified as Beulah Dennis, 87, of 3618 Riverwood Park.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant N. Nguyen and Officer R. Breiding reported:

A 1996 Honda Accord being driven northbound on Trail River by the deceased (Beulah Dennis) failed to yield right of way when leaving the stop sign at Trail River and Kingwood Drive. The vehicle was struck by a 1999 GMC Yukon traveling eastbound on Kingwood Drive. Paramedics pronounced Ms. Dennis dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital with minor injuries.

The investigation is continuing.
