Update on Incident at 11900 Bellaire
May 23, 2005 -- Charges have
been filed in the fatal shooting of a man at 11900 Bellaire about
1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2005. A second victim was also
shot.
The suspect, Jose Francisco Tercero (H/m DOB:
05-30-80), has been arrested and charged with murder in the 263rd
State District Court.
One of the victims, Gabriel Posada, 28, of Nuevo
Laredo, Mexico received a gunshot wound and was transported to
Memorial Hermann where he was later pronounced dead. The second
male victim, whose name has not been released, also received a
gunshot wound to the arm and is listed in good condition at Memorial
Hermann Hospital.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M.D. Newcomb and
Officer T. Huynh reported:
Posada and the other victim were awaiting payment
for bringing two females from Mexico to Houston and were subsequently
shot while waiting for the money. A white Jeep Grand Cherokee
occupied by three Hispanic males was last seen traveling westbound
on Bellaire from S. Kirkwood.
