Incident at 10400 Forum Park

May 2, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 10400 Forum Park today, May 2, 2005 about 12:10 a.m.

The victim has been identified as Randy Martin, 16, of 10003 Forum West #47. He suffered a gunshot wound to his right arm and side and later died while in surgery at Ben Taub General Hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Hernandez and Officer X. Avila reported:

Martin and a friend were walking southbound on the sidewalk in the 10400 block of Forum Park. Several individuals, described only as black males, passed southbound driving in a white 1988-1992 Cadillac. The vehicle turned around and someone in the backseat fired several rounds from a weapon shooting Martin two times. Martin's friend was not injured.
