Traffic Incident at 7000 Southwest Freeway

March 31, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 7000 block of the Southwest Freeway about 7:25 p.m. on Monday (March 28).

The deceased victim was identified as Tammy Marie Gooden, 40, of Saint Jo, Texas.

HPD Traffic Division Sergeant P.E. George and Officer J. Larson reported:

The victim was struck and killed as she attempted to cross the northbound lanes of the 7000 block of U.S. Highway 59. The driver of the vehicle that struck the woman left the scene without stopping to render aid or give any information.
