Houston Police Make Service Call for Teddy Bears
March 21, 2005 -- KSBJ Radio
hosted a stuffed teddy bear drive last month for which there was
an overwhelming response from the public. We were able to collect
more than 4,700 bears to give to each Houston police substation
and organizations for the children we come into contact with each
day.
On Thursday, March 17, 2005, Lisa Andrews graciously
accepted 200 bears on behalf of the Children’s Assessment
Center. The center helps children and families recover from abuse
and serves as an advocate for all children in our community.

Manzo, Sergeant Michelle Sandoval and Officer Jesse Martinez,
assigned to the Houston Police Department Public Affairs Division,
delivering the teddy bears to Lisa Andrews and staff.
