Incident at 10400 Burden at Parker Road
June 28, 2005 -- Houston police
are investigating the death of a man found at 10400 Burden at
Parker Road about 9:45 a.m. on Monday, June 27, 2005.
The deceased victim's identity and cause of death
are pending an autopsy by the Harris County Medical Examiner's
office. The victim is described as a white male between 40 and
60 years of age with a beard and mustache. He was wearing a light
colored T-shirt, tan shorts and black combat style boots.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Elliott and
Officer J. Sosa reported:
The victim was discovered lying on his back in
a ditch at Burden at Parker Road by city workers cleaning the
storm drainage system. The Houston Fire Department and Houston
Police Department responded and determined the victim was deceased.
No identification was found on the victim and police observed
minor contusions on his face. It's believed the victim might have
been at the location as early as 2 a.m. At this time, it is unknown
if he was struck by a vehicle or assaulted and knocked into the
ditch.
