Incident at 5500 El Camino Del Rey

June 25, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found in the 5500 block of El Camino Del Rey about 7:30 a. m. today (June 25).

The identity of the male victim, 23, is pending notification to the next of kin. He suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant H. A. Riojas and Officer R. Cervantes reported:

The victim was found in the courtyard of an apartment complex at approximately 7:30 a. m. Residents of the complex reported hearing gunshots between 12 and 12:30 a. m. today. However, there are no known witnesses to this shooting.
