Incident at 3743 Greenbriar

June 19, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 3743 Greenbriar on Sunday June 19, 2005 about 4:30 a.m.

The deceased victim is identified as Dominick James Summa, 27, of 5353 Institute Lane #9. He suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant H. Riojas and Office R. Cervantes reported:

Summa was inside an after hours establishment when an unknown suspect discharged a weapon outside of the location. The bullets penetrated a plywood board that covered the window area of the establishment and Summa was struck in the back of the head.
