Suspect's Vehicle
June 7, 2005 -- Investigators
in the Houston Police Juvenile Division have released surveillance
photos of a vehicle driven by a suspect wanted in the aggravated
kidnapping and sexual assault of a 12-year-old boy on Saturday
(June 4).
The van is a 1990-95 Short Wheel Base Chevrolet
G-10, white in color with brown trim on the bottom, at least two
large windows on each side, a small decorative ladder affixed
to the back, running boards with amber lights, and possible decorated
rims. On the rear left door is a white and chrome tire cover.
The victim said there are curtains on the windows that may or
may not be pulled back. Surveillance photos of the van are posted
below. They were taken from cameras at the Dollar General Store
in the 8300 block of Bellfort and reveal that the kidnapping occurred
about 3:25 p.m. on Saturday, an hour later than originally believed.

HPD Juvenile Division Sergeant L.R. Ousley and
Officer J.T. Roscoe of the Sex Crimes Unit reported:
The boy and his eight-year-old cousin were leaving
the Dollar General Store when they met the suspect in the parking
lot. The suspect told the boys he could not speak English and
needed someone to order food for him at the McDonald’s restaurant
across the street at 8320 Broadway. The children, both bilingual,
agreed to go with the suspect and got into his van. The suspect
gave the younger boy money and sent him into the restaurant to
order the food. He then drove away with the 12-year-old in his
vehicle. The suspect drove to a secluded area, had the victim
disrobe, and then forcibly sexually assaulted him. After the assault,
the suspect dropped off the victim at a Subway restaurant on Monroe
at the Gulf Freeway. The victim then started walking and got a
ride back to his home from a good Samaritan. The younger boy,
after discovering the van and his cousin missing from the parking
lot, walked home and told his parents what had happened. The parents
called police.
