Incident at 3700 Old Spanish Trail
June 3, 2005 -- Houston police
are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found in the 3700
block of Old Spanish Trail about 3 a.m. today (June 3).
The victim, identified as Henry Harry Syptak
Jr., 50, of 870 Corvette Lane suffered a gunshot wound to the
left arm and chest. He was pronounced dead at Ben Taub General
Hospital.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant S.H. Kennedy and
Officer I.F. Flores Jr. reported:
Officers were dispatched to a major accident
and saw the victim slumped over the steering wheel of a Dodge
Ram truck. The man was taken out of the vehicle and loaded into
an ambulance. It was at that time, paramedics determined the man
was shot.
Witnesses and investigators said the victim drove
from an unknown location to Old Spanish Trail at La Salette. That
is where his truck hit a street sign and stopped.
