Traffic Incident at 7300 Cullen
July 10, 2005 -- Houston police
are investigating a fatal hit and run where a pedestrian was killed.
The incident occurred at 7300 Cullen about 2 a.m. today (July
10).
HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant
T. McCabe and Officers R. Stafford and S. Martinez reported:
Three pedestrians were in the northbound lanes
of Cullen crossing their street toward their parked car. Black
Pontiac Grand Pix, also traveling northbound on Cullen, ran the
red light at the South Loop service road. The husband of the victim
saw the speeding vehicle and tried to pull his wife out of the
way but was unable to. The Grand Prix struck the female pedestrian
and then fled the scene. Investigators were able to obtain a good
description of the suspect's vehicle and other information.
