Traffic Incident at 4100 Lang

July 7, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 4100 Lang Rd. about 2:40 a.m. today (July 7).

The identity of the deceased male victim, 28, is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant D. S. Runyan and Officer R. Stafford reported:

The driver of a late-model Volkswagen Jetta traveling southbound on Lang Rd. lost control of the vehicle and crashed head-on into a culvert. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. Two passengers sustained injuries and were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in unknown conditions. It appears that no other vehicles were involved.
