Update on Incident at 9001 Kempwood
January 28, 2005 -- A
17-year-old man has been charged with capital murder in the shooting
death of Tereso Tellez that occurred in the parking lot of 9001
Kempwood on Friday, January 28, 2005 around 1:39 a.m.
Jose Angel Herrera (Hm/ dob 12-30-87) was arrested
the night of the shooting
and charged in the 208th State District Court.
The following are the details of the offense:
According the Houston Police Department Homicide investigators
Sergeant. C.T.
Mosqueda and Officer L. Benavidez, the victim, Tereso Hernandez
Tellez of 211
W. 17th Georgetown, Texas, was approached by three men and one
woman, all
Hispanic, who were driving in a maroon Chrysler. One of the suspects
fired
several shots from a handgun striking Mr. Tellez multiple times
as he sat in
his car. The suspects stole Mr. Tellez's wallet and fled the scene.
Two of the suspects were caught and charges are
pending at this time. This
incident is still under investigation and anyone with additional
