Traffic Incident at 2800 N. Eldridge Parkway
February 27, 2005 -- Houston
police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 2800 N. Eldridge
Parkway on Saturday, February 26, 2005, about 4:45 p.m.
The identity of the female victim is pending
an autopsy by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.
HPD Traffic Division Sergeant R. Gonzales and
Officer R. Davidson reported:
According to witnesses, a female driving a red
Ford pickup truck was traveling southbound on Eldridge when she
lost control of the vehicle maneuvering a curve. The pickup truck
went into the northbound lanes and struck two vehicles. The red
Ford pickup truck was then hit on the driver's side door by a
white Dodge pickup truck causing both vehicles to catch on fire.
All occupants where pulled out of the vehicles; however, the driver
of the red Ford pickup truck died at the scene from injuries sustained
due to the accident. Two other individuals were transported to
local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
