Incident at 7245 Hillcroft
February 17, 2005 -- Houston
police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and wounding
of another at 7245 Hillcroft about 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday (Feb.
16).
Names of the deceased victim, 18, and wounded
male, 25-26 years old, are being
withheld pending notification of family members.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.H. Roberts and
Officer C.Y. Park reported:
The two male victims were standing in the parking
lot of the apartment complex at 7245 Hillcroft when a dark colored
four-door vehicle drove up. Witnesses said there were four Hispanic
males in their early 20s inside the vehicle. One or more of the
males asked the two victims what group they were affiliated with.
When the victims stated they were part of a particular group,
one of the passengers in the vehicle started shooting at the two
men. The 18-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other male was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in
critical condition.
