February 12, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the shooting death of a man at 2110 Rusk today (Feb. 12) about 2:10 a.m.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant D. A. Ferguson and Officer B. C. McDaniel reported:

After the Industry Café nightclub was closing, a number of patrons made there way into the parking lot. The victim, Vinh Tran (A/m DOB: 08-23-85), was headed to his car when he got into a confrontation with at least one of the male suspects. As a result, Tran was shot multiple times and died shortly thereafter. Witnesses reported that the suspect jumped into the passenger seat of a red Ford Taurus and fled west from the location. It was also reported that the license plate may have been from Louisiana and contained the letter "X". The suspects are believed to be two white males and have not been identified.
