Update on Incident at 4910 Telephone

December 27, 2005 -- Members of the private sector and Crime Stoppers are offering a reward of $20,000.00 to anyone with information that leads to the arrest and charges of suspect that shot a storeowner on December 14. The incident occurred at 4910 Telephone Road around 7:15 p.m.

The victim is identified as Rachhpal Grewal, 55.

HPD Homicide Division Officers T. Huynh and C. Hufstedler reported:

An employee of the Diamond Liquor Store at 4910 Telephone Road entered the location and found the store's owner lying on the floor suffering of a gunshot wound. HFD paramedics arrived and pronounced Grewal dead. Investigators believe robbery may have been the motive in this shooting.
