Update on Incident at 1300 Bunker Hill

December 18, 2005 -- Charges have been filed in the shooting of a man at 1300 Bunker Hill about 8:50 p.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2005.

The victim is identified as Jose M. Garcia, 31, of 204 Curtis in Pasadena.

The suspects, Efrain Lopez (H/m DOB: 9/18/87), Juan Balderas (H/m DOB: 9/07/86) and Israel Diaz (H/m DOB: 4/09/86) have been arrested and charged with capital murder in the 179th State District Court.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Grysen and Officer C. Park reported:

Witnesses found Mr. Garcia lying in the roadway at 1300 Bunker Hill and called police. HPD officers arrived and discovered the victim had been shot several times. HFD paramedics arrived and pronounced Garcia dead.
