Update on Incident at 3510 Almington Lane
December 17, 2005 -- Charges
have been filed against a suspect arrested in the death of a woman
found in her home at 3510 Almington Lane about 8:40 p.m. on Thursday
(Dec. 15).
The suspect, Robert Eugene Renfrow (w/m, DOB
10/6/64), is charged with capital murder in the 228th State District
Court. Renfrow is accused of killing Enid L. Holderly, 71, who
suffered blunt trauma to the head. Her cause of death is pending
results of an autopsy.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.T. Parker and
Officer D.L. Robertson reported:
Officers were called to 3510 Almington to check
the welfare of an elderly woman. When they arrived, they were
told family members had found the woman dead inside her home with
an axe located next to her body.
Ms. Holderly's vehicle, a gray 2001 Ford F-150
four-door pickup truck and Renfrow were missing. Renfrow lived
in Enid Holderly's home at the time of the murder. He was arrested
at a hotel at 425 North Sam Houston Parkway East without incident.
