Incident at 4910 Telephone Road

December 15, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a store owner at 4910 Telephone Road around 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2005.

The victim is identified as Rachhpal Grewal, 55.

HPD Homicide Division Officers T. Huynh and C. Hufstedler reported:

An employee of the Diamond Liquor Store at 4910 Telephone Road entered the location and found the store's owner lying on the floor suffering with an apparent gunshot wound. HFD paramedics arrived and pronounced Grewal dead. Investigators believe robbery may have been the motive in this shooting.
