Incident at 5908 Gulfton

December 11, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5908 Gulfton on December 11, 2005 about 4 a.m.

The victim is identified at Joseles C. Rios, 22, of 3814 Ripplebrook. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his body and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect is identified as a male juvenile.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant H. Riojas and Officer R. Cervantes reported:

Five males were already at the taco stand when Rios arrived to buy some food. An argument took place between Rios and one of the males. The verbal exchange quickly escalated to a physical altercation between the juvenile suspect and Rios. The suspect produced a handgun and shot Rios multiple times.
