HPD Seeks Public's Help in Identifying Aggravated
Robbery Suspect
December 6, 2005 -- Houston
police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a suspect
from an aggravated robbery that occurred at 1816 Shepherd on October
22, 2005 about 1:55 a.m.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male,
approximately 35 years of age. He is about 5 feet 7 inches to
5 feet 9 inches tall and 200 to 210 pounds. The suspect's hair
is short black and straight and his complexion is light brown.
The suspect was wearing a white short sleeve dress shirt and khaki
pants. He wore eyeglasses and used a screwdriver as a weapon.

HPD Robbery Division Officer P. Reese reported:
A female clerk at the Valero convenience store
located at 1816 Shepherd was working when the suspect approached
her at the front counter of the store. The suspect then produced
a screwdriver and demanded the cash deposits out of the register.
The clerk complied with the suspect's demand and opened the register,
at which time the suspect grabbed the cash out of the register
drawer and then exited the store. He drove away in what was described
as a tan Toyota vehicle. He was captured on surveillance video
committing the robbery.
