Incident at 7471 Cook Road
August 22, 2005 -- Houston police
are sorting out the details of a shooting that left four people
injured at 7471 Cook Road on Sunday, August 21, 2005 at about
8 p.m.
According to Houston Police Department Homicide
Division Investigators D.R. Shorten and C.J. Grysen, officers
responding to a shooting call found four males inside an apartment
that had been shot. Investigators learned that the four got into
some type of altercation that turned violent when weapons were
produced.
Witnesses reported hearing several gunshots.
The victims, 28-year-old Quinton Giles was shot in the chest,
28-year-old Richard Dean was shot in the lower back, 23-year-old
Darius Celestine was shot in the right thigh and 24-year-old Tommy
Lee Harris suffered gunshot wounds to the abdomen and left arm.
They were transported to Ben Taub General Hospital and Memorial
Hermann Hospital. All were listed in good to stable condition
and are expected to survive.
This incident is still under investigation and
at this time no one has been arrested or charged. Several weapons
and drugs were recovered during this investigation.
